Checking the validity of the data is done by means of technical triangulation.

Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The type of research used was qualitative with descriptive method. The purpose of this study was to identify the character values contained in the fairy tale book Timun Mas by Aryasatya Ikranegara in third grade students of SD Negeri Wanasari 01. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh kelas kontrol sebesar 72,2 sedangkan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh kelas eksperimen sebesar 91,65 Berdasarkan pemaparan diatas bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan metode SAS (Struktural Analitik Sintetik) berbantuan media gambar dan teks membaca berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca kelas I SDN Tanjung Duren Selatan 01 Jakarta Barat. Teknik analisi data menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences ) versi 22 yaitu dengan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, dan uji homogenitas dengan menggunakan uji t sampel independent. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel Sampling Kuota yaitu dalam menentukan sampel dari populasi yang mempunyai ciri-ciri tertentu sampai jumlah (kuota) yang diinginkan yaitu 40 siswa 20 kelas eksperimen dan 20 kelas kontrol. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas I SDN Tanjung Duren Selatan 01 Jakarta Barat berjumlah 40 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kuantitatif Eksperimen dengan desain quasi experimental design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan metode SAS dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pada siswa kelas I.

The obstacles that researchers can encounter in the field are limitations on the lack of knowledge from parents and the difficulty of the parents' economy to meet all student learning facilities. The results of this study indicate that parents play a role in motivating students' learning in class IV SD Negeri 004 Pelalawan with all the difficulties that do not prevent parents from giving the best for their children, including parents play a role in students as educators, motivators, facilitators and mentors. The source of this research is the parents of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 004 Pelalawan. The technique of checking the validity of the data in the study was carried out by triangulation of techniques, sources, and time. This type of qualitative research uses data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation.

This study aims to find out how the role of parents in students' learning motivation in grade IV SD Negeri 004 Pelalawan and to find out whether parents' barriers to student motivation in grade IV SD Negeri 004 Pelalawan.
